Project Description

ART, ECOLOGY AND CREATIVITY

I SRAW (International Sonic Reuse ArtWorkShop) is an international collective of artists directed by Rocco Papia made up in 2020 to research and develop Sonic Reuse Artworks.

S.R.A. are works of sound art created through the creative reuse of urban and industrial waste that incorporate a vision of ecological and sustainable development.

The aim is to trigger innovative creative processes related to the recovery and transformation of industrial and urban waste through digital technologies, music and plastic arts.

The project arises as a natural evolution of this experience, with the aim of developing a research and creative pathway for the production of interactive works related with technology and science to raise awareness on environmental and sustainability issues through innovative and interdisciplinary languages.

The methodology of the collective is developed in artistic residencies in which artists, researchers and creative people can develop the design of works starting from the materials and the place/territory hosting them.
